For JormunTL 1.2.0
The theme, the four companion plugins, and which of them you actually need.
JormunTL is a theme plus four plugins. The plugins ship inside the theme and are installed from JormunTL ▸ Install Plugins after you activate it. Activating the theme does not install them.
| What it does | Needed? | |
|---|---|---|
| JormunTL | The theme: every page a reader sees | Yes |
| JormunTL Core | Novels, chapters, announcements, genres, statuses, the URLs they live at, and the records readers submit | Yes, always |
| JormunTL Commerce | The coin ledger, the transactions table, what a chapter costs and who has paid for it | Only if you charge for anything |
| JormunTL EPUB Importer | Bulk imports .epub files as the chapters of a novel, with numbering, scheduling and lock rules | Only if you have ePubs |
| JormunTL Transfer | Exports and imports a whole site as one archive, and migrates a Madara or Fictioneer library in place | Only when moving |

All four are installed from JormunTL ▸ Install Plugins, which is also where you can see which are already active.
Core is not optional. The theme has nothing to display without it: no novels, no chapters, no genres.
Commerce is genuinely optional. A site that publishes everything free, or that earns through ads and support links, never needs it, and leaving it uninstalled removes the whole Monetization menu rather than leaving it there switched off.
No page builder. No separate membership plugin. No WooCommerce. The homepage is built from the Customizer, and payments go straight to Stripe, PayPal or Ko-fi.
