Styles

Everything here is in Appearance ▸ Customize, which previews as you change it. Nothing is saved until you press Publish, so it is the safe place to experiment: change something, look at the preview, and close without publishing if you hate it.

Each picture below is that section’s own pane, breadcrumb included, so you can see where you are.

Color Scheme

The site’s colours, grouped: text, surfaces, borders, input fields, status colours and buttons.

Status colours are semantic and separate from your accent: success, warning, premium and error. Premium is the one your paywall uses, so it is worth being deliberate about; it defaults to the same amber as warning, which is fine on some palettes and reads as an alarm on others.

Underline links on hover is a small setting with a large effect on how a text-heavy page feels.

Both light and dark mode are real, and readers choose which they are in. A palette that only works in one of them is half a design, so check the preview in both before publishing.

Typography

Primary and Secondary Font Family for the site, and a separate Button Font Family that inherits by default.

The reading font is not here. It is in Layout settings ▸ Chapter Settings, because it is a different decision: this is your brand, that is somebody’s evening.
