Header Notice

JormunTL ▸ Theme Options ▸ Header Notice.

One bar across the top of every page, for the things that are true for everybody: a schedule change, a planned outage, a new release.

Enable switches it on without losing what you wrote, so a notice you use every few months does not have to be retyped.

Mode is the useful setting. Link means the bar says one thing and goes one place. Announcements points it at your Announcements archive instead, so the bar follows what you post rather than what you typed here.

Icon picks from bell, megaphone, info, alert-circle, message-circle, mail, zap, star and flame, with its own background and foreground colours. Match the icon to the news: a megaphone for a release, an alert-circle for an outage.

Title, Body Text, Link and Open in New Tab are the content.

It is deliberately one bar and not a stack. Two notices at once means neither is read.

For anything that belongs to a moment rather than to the whole site, post an Announcement instead. Those have their own archive and stay; see polls, requests and announcements.
