Licence terms

Last updated 7 September 2026

What the licence grants, and what happens when it ends.

Who you are buying from

JormunTL is sold through Polar, who act as merchant of record. Polar is the seller for the transaction: they handle payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and their terms apply to the purchase itself. The licence described below is what that purchase grants you.

The product is made by Bored Daoist. See contact.

What the licence grants

Product updates and support for JormunTL and its bundled companion plugins, together with activation on one production site, for as long as the licence is active.

The software itself is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, as a derivative work of WordPress. Nothing here limits the rights that licence gives you in the PHP code. What the purchase buys is the service around it: builds, updates, the activation service and support.

Activation

A licence key activates one production domain at a time. If you move the site to a different domain, deactivate the old one first. Attempting to activate a second domain while the first is active will be refused.

Support

While a licence is active, support is available at jormundevtl@gmail.com. It covers the product working as documented. It does not cover custom development, third-party plugins, server administration, or migration work beyond the supplied tools.

When a licence expires

The version you have installed keeps working. You stop receiving updates, including security updates, and support ends, until the licence is renewed. We do not disable, degrade or remotely switch off an installed copy.

What you may not do

Building client sites with it is expressly fine. Each production site needs its own licence.

Liability

The software is provided as described on this site and in its documentation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law. Statutory warranty rights for consumers are unaffected.

You are responsible for keeping backups of your site, and for complying with the law where you operate it, including copyright in the works you publish.
